Expert mode Get all fifteen medals in Nintendo 64 or 3DS mode to unlock the Expert difficulty.

Score Attack mode Successfully complete the training portion of the game to unlock Score Attack mode.

Training mode Successfully complete the training portion of the game to unlock Training mode.

Music Test option Successfully complete the game to unlock the "Music Test" option.

Alternate title screen Get a 100% completion in the main game in 3DS, N64, and Expert modes. All gold medals included for each stage, and only one for Venom.

Alternate routes Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding alternate route at the end of the listed mission:

Aquas: Shoot down at least 100 enemies in Sector Y.
Area 6: Successfully complete the missions in either Sector Z or Macbeth.
Katina: Fly through the seven warp rings in Meteo. Alternately, access it from Sector Y.
Macbeth: Defeat Spyborg on Sector X before it knocks out Slippy. Alternately, access it from Solar or Zoness.
Sector Y: Save Falco, and fly through the stone arches on Corneria.
Sector Z: Fly through the warp gates on Sector X. Alternately, access it from Zoness.
Solar: Shoot down the Star Wolf team on Fichina before the bomb explodes. Alternately, access it from Katina.
Venom (2): Access it from Area 6.
Zoness: Access it from Aquas.
